About Sugaring
Sugaring is an all-natural alternative to standard hot wax that is less painful, more effective and actually beneficial for your skin. Sugaring leaves your skin soft and smooth without any irritation, and regrowth decreases significantly even after your first treatment! For optimum results, it is important that the first three sugaring treatments are done no later than 4 weeks apart.
How Sugaring Works
The honey-like paste is molded onto the skin, against the direction of hair growth, and flicked away with the direction of hair growth. This is to guarantee that no hair will be broken when removed. When the paste is molded onto your skin, the sugar is actually softening to your body heat, and seeping into your hair follicles, making sure to remove every hair and its connecting root. Once the root is removed, hair can no longer grow from that follicle. Leaving your skin smooth and supple for much longer! Like I mentioned before, the paste softens to your body heat. Sugar is not heated like hot wax, so burns aren’t even an option!
Sugar vs. Hot Wax
SUGAR
- Incapable of sticking to live skin, only to hair and dead skin cells, leaving your skin smooth and exfoliated.
- Paste seeps into follicle removing your hair and its root, leaving you smooth for much longer.
- Sugaring harmonizes your hair growth patterns; therefore all regrowth will consist at the same time many weeks later. Hair that is removed grows back very soft and slow. Consistent Sugaring will hinder regrowth altogether.
- Paste softens to your body heat and the heat from my hand, not overheated. No burns!
- Paste is applied with my gloved hand, applied, removed and tossed! No sticks to double-dip or cross contamination.
- Sugar Paste is made of just sugar, water and lemon. No chemical additives. 100% Organic!
HOT WAX
- Hot wax adheres to your skin and when removed, takes the top dermal layer with. Leaving you sore, red and bumpy for days.
- Breaks about 50% your hair at the surface of the skin, as opposed to from the root, causing regrowth days after service.
- Continuous waxing will not stop hair growth altogether. In fact, because wax breaks hairs, the growth patterns will never synchronize. Therefore you will have irregular, stubbly regrowth about a week after every service.
- Hot wax is heated to 135 degrees! Causing burns and blisters, and inflames your skin, making the service more painful!
- Wax is applied to your skin with a popsicle stick that is usually reused on many girls previous! Yuck!
- Wax contains many artificial chemicals and additives that can aggravate skin and cause serious skin allergies.
